Tickle me for a great cause. The Movember movement is back. Are you on board?

Women and men alike are touched in a plethora of ways by the horrors of cancer. We all know that October is the month designated for breast cancer awareness. We wear our pink ribbons, we raise awareness, money and more in the name of survival and the fight.

But did you know November is the month dedicated to men's health?

I want to take this moment though to share information about a national movement focusing on men's health. The Movember Foundation, is a men's health organization urging men to grow their mustaches in November to raise awareness for illnesses that can lead to a premature death.

The Movember Foundation says the mustache, or the "Mo" is their ribbon for men's health. While they have a fun page dedicated to the "Mo" they are serious about their desire to raise funding for projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

The Movember Foundation posts some scary statistics about the state of men's health saying men die six years earlier than women on average, and 12-percent of men above the age of 17 are in fair or poor health. The Foundation has very ambitious goals, hoping to cut premature deaths of men by 25-percent by 2030. It also wants to reduce suicides by 25 percent and deaths from prostate and testicular cancer by 50-percent.

I encourage everyone to take the time to few all of the information and various links on the website for The Movember Foundation. It is eye opening to say the least.

And I'd be remiss to not share with you the link for the National Breast Cancer Foundation as well.

So gentlemen, like they say, Grow a Mo, save a Bro. Sign up here for Movember
