If you're a Gilmore Girls fan then you know how important Connecticut's Litchfield County is to the show.

The show itself

According to gilmoregirlsfanfest.com, the entire show, which had a seven year run from 2000-2007 on two different networks, is set in the fictional town of "Stars Hollow" and was inspired by creator Amy Sherman-Palladino's stay at the Mayflower Inn located in Washington and also by a ride that she and her husband took through Litchfield County.

This weekend, fans can immerse themselves in everything Gilmore Girls during the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest.

Some of the activities they have planned include, of course, endless coffee, a bus tour of Litchfield County with stops in places that inspired the show, like the Mayflower Inn and a trip to a local vineyard & winery, as well as a costumed fun run, a scavenger hunt, musical experiences with one of your favorite special guests, meet and greets, and a reading of The Coffee Monologues among other events.

Stan Zimmerman, Valerie Campbell, Liz Torres, whose birthday is on Friday, (so they'll be celebrating Miss Patty style), Emily Kuroda, George Bell and Aris Alvarado are some of the other stars of the show who will be there to meet some of their biggest fans.

The cast came back together on the Today Show in 2015 for this Gilmore Girls Reunion:

The Fan Fest begins at the Kent Community House on Friday morning, and runs until Sunday afternoon. Meet-and-greets and other events with various actors from the show will also take place.

Registration begins Friday morning at 9 AM at the Kent Community House.

So don’t miss your chance to experience an intimate gathering of Gilmore Girls fans, there’s never been a Fan Fest event quite like it!
