Good Ol’ American Commerce Rises in Newtown

I've been watching the development along Church Hill Road in Newtown for the past year, it's really being rapidly transformed over the course of this Summer. The first rumble of progression was the Wheels convenience store and the new Edmond Road. Click HERE to check out my earlier blog.

Well, yet another progression is set to take place this upcoming labor Day weekend, as Newtown's newest liquor store Oak Barrel Wine & Spirits is slated to open this weekend, according to their Facebook page.

I stopped into the plaza this morning on the way in to get my Starbucks fix, and to snap a couple of photos for you. The AT&T Store right next to Starbucks is now open for business also.

The construction crews have really done a great job at transforming what was once a gathering place for empty Trojan wrappers, cigarette butts, and Blue Colony Diner leftover containers, into a beautifully landscaped fresh shopping plaza.
