According to a press release from the National Governors Association, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont was appointed to Pandemic and Disaster Response to co-chair with Tennessee Governor Bill Lee.

So what does this mean? Lamont, alongside Lee, will work on issues including Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), National Guard, cybersecurity, health care, and all COVID-19  areas including testing, vaccines, supply chain and personal protective equipment (PPE).

The NGA took to twitter to announce their new leaders in these task forces:

Governor Ned Lamont was appointed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, as Lamont responded in a tweet that he "appreciates Governor Cuomo for selecting me for this important responsibility".

I'm excited to see what these new task forces will do, and hopefully they solve some of the ongoing problems we are continuing to face. Good luck to Governor Lamont. We are all counting on you.
