Originally signed back on March 30, 2020, 'Executive Order No 7Q has been amended to provide that child care facilities may now provide care for up to 50 children without obtaining approval from the Commissioner of Early Childhood.' Now that's sweet music for moms and dads who have been working from home with little kids.

Those words were taken directly from a press release on the website, portal.ct.gov. Daycare facilities that provide care for more than 50 children must secure approval from the CEC.

The Governor decided to amend the Executive Order because new COVID-19 cases are on the downturn along with hospitalizations and deaths and are continuing to meet the benchmarks required for the Phase 1 reopening.

According to a recent article in the Litchfield Daily Voice, Connecticut's death toll from COVID-19 has now fallen to the lowest level since the beginning of the pandemic. If all the metrics are met, the Governor will begin to roll out CT Phase 2 on June 20. Keep your fingers crossed because you just may be able to go out for dinner and see a movie. Do you remember this?
