‘Grimm’ Celebrates Milestone Episode

My favorite show, that my co-workers and I love, celebrates 100 episodes tonight! Grimm is about a police detective in Portland, Oregon, named Nick, who has the ability to see wesen (pronounced VES-sin). Wesen are humans that can morph into animals, mythical creatures, or fairy tale characters.

SPOILER: After his aunt dies in the pilot episode, he finds books and weapons in her trailer, and realizes his ancestors documented how to defend types of wesen. They are called "Grimms", as in the Grimm fairytales which in this show indicates that the stories are non-fiction.

The characters involved with Nick and the Wesen world are his former girlfriend Juliette, friend Monroe, Monroe's wife, and herbalist, Rosalee , Wesen Council, a former witch named Adalind, fellow Grimm acquaintance named Theresa Ruble but goes by the name, Truble, and some of his co-workers: partner Hank, Sgt. Wu, boss: Capt. Sean Renard and his royal family. (Wesen examples: Monroe morphs into a blutblad werewolf, Rosalee is a fuchsbad fox, and Adalind was a hexenbiest witch, but Nick used his power as a Grimm to take away her evil sorcery.)

Unfortunately, all of these characters have been affected by evil Wesen, and attempt to normalize their lives each week while keeping Portland safe. My favorite character is Monroe, because he always adds humor with any situation and is willing to help Nick solve his cases.
