He came to the Animal Welfare Society from a Kentucky high-kill shelter, but that doesn't mean Gunner doesn't have some of that southern charm.

Gunnar is our featured Pet of the Week, and he's so chill. Even though he's only 5-months-old, he's had a rough start to his life. He's already been in a high kill shelter, then saved and rescued by the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford. Now he's in the market for his first forever home.

Gunnar is a full-fledged 100% mutt. He may be a little shy at first, but he'll warm up pretty quick. He also gets along very well with other dogs, even cats, and he loves people and would be good with children as well.

He's all up to date on his vaccines, and has already been neutered. So all Gunnar needs now is you to take him home and give him lots of love! Let's meet Gunnar:
