‘Hamilton’ Star Performs to Raise Funds for Danbury Regional Hospice

Miguel Cervantes is a Broadway actor who is best known for originating the role of Alexander Hamilton in the Chicago production of Hamilton, which ran from 2016 until it closed in January 2020.

Tonight, December 3, at 7 pm, Cervantes and his wife, Kelly, a national health advocate, are hosting a virtual fundraising event to raise money for the Regional Hospice of Danbury.

Their ultimate goal is to create "The North Star," a place devoted to families with children and babies in hospice care. All money raised will create the North Star, an 18,000-square-foot pavilion within Danbury's Regional Hospice. The virtual fundraiser begins at 7 pm tonight where Miguel will perform the song he wrote for his daughter titled "Til the Calm Comes," and it will bring tears to your eyes.

Miguel and Kelly lost their daughter, Adelaide, who died in hospice care at the age of four from a severe form of epilepsy. The evening will also include a silent auction and other wonderful performances. During an interview with WTNH TV, Cervantes said that "all these families are searching for peace and calm during this time."
