Another great food holiday that gives me an excuse to eat bad things! woo hoo!

It's been National Ice Cream Month all July long- so therefore I have been indulging in the best summer treat A LOT!

But let's get back to the real star of Monday: a nice, juicy hamburger. You already know what I'm having for dinner. There's a lot of things to like about a hamburger: especially because you can make it your own personal meal. Don't want tomato? Don't have it! You like a special sauce on it? Pour it up! Something for everyone and everyone always has their own personal preference. Don't ever make fun of someone's hamburger game- that's like making fun of someone's music preference. Just let the person be.

AND to really solidify that this a legitimate holiday. The first hamburger was made on this day in 1900 at Louis Lunch in New Haven. They still make the burgers the same way they did over 100 years ago (on sliced bread). I've heard good things but it's also just very cool that Connecticut can claim to possibly be the inventor of hamburgers in the U.S..

What place do you like to go to? I love Swanky Franks in Norwalk too. And I'm a huge Shake Shack fan!
