  • A former Newtown police dispatcher is avoiding prison time in his sentence for distribution of steroids. A federal judge in Hartford says Jason Chickos of Bridgeport must serve two years of probation and perform 120 hours of community service.


  • The death of David Bowie is being blamed on liver cancer, according to one of his closest friends. Director Ivo van Hove told a Dutch radio station that Bowie informed him of his terminal diagnosis over a year ago. Bowie kept his health issues  private aside from a close friends and family.
