Woot - Woot, Connecticut, we did good!

We do live in the land of steady habits. Apparently though, we are willing to change some of our bad ones in order to save some money. Working towards the greater good is also a plus.

In a story from HartfordBusiness.com, the score card is out and Connecticut is the fifth most efficient state in the country. Yes, some other states beat us out, but keep in mind that those that finished above Connecticut spend more on energy efficiency programs.

The report by The  American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy says Connecticut gets more benefits per dollar spent on those programs. Around the country, businesses and residents saved a combined $85,000,000 last year because of the programs.

I'd like to think that means I can get away with buying another pair of shoes, but I guess the wise thing to do is buy more energy saving products.
