Early on Wednesday morning, a Cortlandt Manor woman contacted officials about a Trump themed Halloween display.

According to an article in the Putnam Daily Voice, the display included a body bag and a tombstone that read, "D. Trump, Burn In Hell", which made Theresa Gucciardo-Perry furious!

I was in shock and just disgusted that this country has come to this.

Gucciardo-Perry couldn't believe that someone could take Halloween, which is supposed to be a fun night for the kids, and make it into a political statement. Plus she added:

Threatening the president is not funny!

The man who put up the display told town officials he would take it down because he was receiving complaints, but then he and Gucciardo-Perry got into a verbal sparring match, which resulted in him changing his mind about dismantling the display. Gucciardo-Perry then asked Cortlandt Manor officials to make him take the display down, but was told he had First Amendment rights and she would have to talk with a judge. Gucciardo-Perry went on to say:

I just want our country back and I want the kids to have fun on Halloween and a little respect between us all.
