Beer Festivals for Non-Beer Drinking People

Beer? Ugh, no thank you!

So, why is it that I love our On Tap events?  I do love to try the different brews. I figure that one day there's got to be something that tastes like wine! There's the live music, this year from Them Bones. It's the social part of it, being with people that are there.

I've got the whole social part of liking beer down, but it does remain something that I struggle with. Let me explain this in the only way I know how. Not liking beer is like not liking Italian food.

I know a lot about Italian food. After all, I didn't do this half way. I had my parents imported from Italy. And not just any part of Italy, right smack dab in the center of the boot. I know about being Italian. I know about Italian food, AND I know what it's like to be the only one in the crowd that doesn't like beer.

You always get "the look". You know "the look". The "Hello, High Maintenance" look.

But, listen, if you want me to like beer, someone has to make it taste more like wine. There's beer with a lime taste, beer with a hint of pumpkin. The list goes on and on. For me to like beer, someone has to take the beer flavor out of it. Is that too much to ask? Oh, and while you're at it, that foamy stuff on top, you can leave that off mine. I'm good.
