It’s Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day, How Lucky Is Mt. Kisco?

Today is the annual Ben and Jerry's Free Cone Day. The only problem with that is if you want to get your free ice cream in our area you'll have to travel to Main Street in Mt. Kisco.

Actually, you could take a trip to West Hartford, or if you want to combine a free Ben and Jerry's Cone with a little Black Jack, then Mohegan Sun would be your next choice.

At one time, there were a few other Ben and Jerry's franchise locations, but most have since closed. So, if you must get your free cone today then let's go to Kisco, and the Mount Kisco Ice Cream Shop at 639 E. Main Street.

If your heading to the movies in White Plains and Yonkers-Ridge Hill your invited to visit the Ben & Jerry's counter at either Cinema de Lux in White Plains or Showcase Cinema de Lux Ridge Hill in Yonkers to receive a free ice cream cone. The offer is even sweeter since Free Cone Day falls on Bargain Tuesday, when general admission price is reduced.

According to patch.com, for the past 40 years, Ben & Jerry's has used Free Cone Day to thank their customers for their loyalty and as a reminder that giving back to the community is just as sweet as free ice cream. Ben & Jerry's has been a strong advocate of such social causes as marriage equality, racial equity, and climate justice.
