It’s National Wife Appreciation Day, Here’s What You Need To Know
Sunday (September 16) is a day to celebrate our wives and all they do for us and our families. So have you made plans? Got that special gift for her? How will you be celebrating? Here's what you need to know.
Wife Appreciation Day is observed annually on the third Sunday in September, and since wives do so many things to make their husbands and homes happy, this is a day for us guys to let their our wives know just how much we appreciate both the little and the big things they do all year long. Now if you want to stay on the 'good foot' here are some suggestions as what you can do and what you can get her.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Some traditional ways to observe Wife Appreciation Day are with a gift of flowers, how about some of her favorite perfume, jewelry always works, or even clothing. You can get a little more creative with a day at a spa, or take her to a show and out to dinner at a nice restaurant. You can also give her some cheaper, and more personal gifts like a foot massage and cooking breakfast or dinner at home, that can also say, “Thank you for all the things you do every day. I appreciate them.” Use #WifeAppreciationDay to post on our social media.
HISTORY OF WIFE APPRECIATION DAY
While the history of Wife Appreciation Day is somewhat obscure, it seems to be a day to honor the women who, while they are married, do not have children. Wife Appreciation Day makes up for Mother’s Day when there are no children in the marriage.
So you see you have a choice, get her the goods and make her day extra special, or don't let her see this story and treat this Sunday like you do every Sunday in the fall by doing nothing but watching Football all day. The choice is yours, but watch out, you might wind up in the dog house.
