After touring throughout the U.S. and Europe over the last few months, Yorktown's Jessica Lynn returned home and brought her Country Christmas Show to the Paramount in Peekskill, N.Y. on Friday Night.

Suzy and I were lucky enough to host the show, which marked Jessica's return to the Paramount Theater, a place she likes to call her home away from home.

"The theater is a special place for me" Jessica told the large crowd, "We filmed our PBS TV Specials here, and this is the first place I ever played during a battle of the bands competition at Lakeland High School, so it's great to come back home".

Now I've said this many times, it's very rare to see a local band that put's on the kind of show that Jessica and her band do, and Friday night's Country Christmas Show was no exception. Not only did you get all of her own hit songs, but we were treated to tons of Holiday hits as well.

Right from the start, you knew this was going to be a special night. From the snow falling and Jessica walking through a lone door on the stage to open the show, to being joined by members of the Port Chester High School Marching Band during "Little Drummer Boy".

The show also featured special appearances by members of the Cortlandt School of Performing Arts, and Dance Expression.

You could also say her show is really kind of a family affair. The band, which consists of her Dad, Pete on bass guitar, her Mom, Victoria on background vocals and her hubby, Steve on lead guitar along with good friends Bob, Steven, Matt and Dan, were tight and didn't miss a beat.

Meanwhile, the crowd, who were also encouraged to bring a toy to donate to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots, loved every minute of the two hour plus show. Everyone went home humming a holiday tune and with a feeling of Christmas Spirit in their heart.
