The Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation will be holding a pet adoption event in Newtown. It's free to all and it will happen on June 4.

The 2nd Annual Catherine's Butterfly Party will have lots of activities for families to enjoy together. Here are some of the things you can expect to see there:

  • Face Painting
  • Games
  • Vendors
  • Food Trucks
  • Live Music

Of course, they will have different animal rescues there, as well as nature and educational exhibits. A K-9 demonstration from the CT State Troopers and Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory are a couple of examples of the exhibits you will see.

The event will take place on June 4 from 12 - 5 PM at the Fairfield Hills Campus, 3 Primrose Street.

Catherine Hubbard was one of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Her parents started this foundation to keep her kindness and compassion towards animals alive. The foundation was started in 2013 and has been growing ever since.
