Little by little, thankfully, we're seeing live music creep back into our day to day here in Connecticut.

The Ridgefield Playhouse and South Farms both have shows planned through the rest of the month into November, heck, even shopping malls in SoNo and Milford have recently pulled off concerts in their parking lots. All of these live concerts are being made possible by utilizing unusual locations with a lot of outdoor space, so that people can safely, socially distance.

I don't know about you, but I am so ready to hear loud, live music of any kind again. I just came across a couple of live music events, at a beautiful location, that I thought you might be interested in.

If you haven't been to "Food Truck Row" on Long Wharf, oh, man, you're really missing a feast for the eyes, ears, nose, and stomach. Over 20 different food trucks line up along Long Wharf Drive, and right across the street from all of this cuisine and activity, is the Canal Dock Boathouse. It's a beautiful facility, with a huge concrete patio facing the water.

The New Haven Symphony Orchestra is going to set up and put on live music at the Canal Dock Boathouse over the next two weekends. This Saturday, October 17, 2020, the concert will feature a percussion duo and string trio performing selections from the greats, both modern and classical. Then on Saturday, October 24, 2020, the NHSO Brass Quintet will put on a show of "Brassy favorites".

The tickets cost $25 for an adult, but children under 18 are free with an adult ticket. Students are being charged $10. Rain dates for both days are the Sunday afterwards. You can buy them by clicking HERE
