Connecticut ranks in the top ten for being the safest state in the country.

The 2019 Uniform Crime Report for the City of Danbury compiled by the Danbury Police Dept. has shown a 16 percent drop in major crime over the same period in 2018 according to an article from the Patch.

This is just one of the many contributing factors that make Connecticut one of the top ten safest states in the country. The website homesnacks.net analyzed FBI data to determine which states were the safest to live in. Here are the results:
