A Tulsa, OK man was arrested and charged after photos depicting child pornography were found on his mobile device at the LaQuinta Inn located at 16 Newtown Road in Danbury, CT.

At about 8:37 PM on Wednesday, June 22, Danbury police met with the Inn's Guest Services Manager, who told the officers that as one of the housekeepers was getting ready to do laundry, a cellular phone fell out of a set of guest room sheets. When the Guest Services Manager opened the phone in an attempt to identify the owner, the photos were exposed, and that's when the police were notified.

Several hours later, 19-year-old Gerardo Vazquez-Gonzalez came to the LaQuinta's front desk claiming he had lost his cell phone. The Danbury Police Department dispatched officers to the Inn, and got Vazquez-Gonzalez to admit that the phone was indeed his, and that he downloaded the child pornography.

Vazquez-Gonzalez was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography in the third degree, and held on a $250,000 bond.
