Mayor Mark Makes National News in Attempt to Bring Amazon to Danbury
In case you missed it, Mayor Mark Boughton scored himself a cameo on national TV — the CBS Evening News last night.
His amazing video pitch, including asking Amazon’s Alexa’s for help in scoring Amazon’s choice for its second location, which they want stationed somewhere in the Northeast.
So the call was put out to cities to send submissions for consideration. I know it's a short appearance on the national news, but hey, it's an appearance, and it looked really good:
Kudos to Mayor Mark for a fantastic pitch and at the very least, a very entertaining video. It'll be so interesting to see where the Amazon headquarters ends up. There are so many pros and cons to having such a monster business within city limits.
