A young teen from Alabama who had been missing for days has been located in Connecticut.

According to a social media post from the Newtown Police Department, 15-year-old Lily Chapman (pictured above) has been located unharmed in the town of Monroe, CT, accompanied by a 16-year-old male. Police say that with the public's help, they were able to identify the teen male very quickly, which led them to the Monroe location.

The local search for Lily Chapman began when the Newtown PD received word on Friday, November 30, that the Alabama girl, who had been reportedly missing since Wednesday, November 28, may have traveled from her home town in Arab, AL to the exit 9 area off of interstate 84 in Newtown to meet up with a teenage male.

Thankfully, those leads turned out to be true and both Lily Chapman and her local friend are safe and sound. A job well done by both the Newtown Police Department and their counterparts in Arab, AL.
