New York City’s Radio City Rockettes are coming to Newtown this Friday, September 22, according to the Newtown Bee.

The visit is part of the dance troupe’s “Gift of Joy” program, which selects fans from the tri-state region to be honored by the dance company. The world famous dancers will honor the Marquez-Greene family who lost Ana Graze Marquez-Greene at the age of 6. Ana was among the 20 students and 6 educators killed on December 14th 2012, in Newtown Connecticut reports the Newtown Patch.

The event celebrates Ana Graze’s life and family’s work, which fosters emotional growth and education, for individuals affected by the Sandy Hook tragedy, and trauma from violence and more, via The Ana Grace Project they operate in honor of their daughter.

The Rockettes will be at Holy Cow Ice Cream Shop, 51 Church Hill Road, between 3 and 4 pm Friday. This is a great, rare opportunity to see the Rockettes in person, and treat yourself to something sweet and delicious!
