There's a place in Newtown where we take our grandkids from time to time where they never want to leave.

The 'place' I'm referring to is called the EverWonder Children's Museum located at 31 Peck Lane in Newtown. You could also call this fascinating place a 'discovery center' for kids. Our 4-year-old grandson Bradley and his 16-month-old sister, Winter don't take kindly to leaving, even after a 2 1/2 hour visit.

I cannot believe Mindy and I had not heard about this treasure chest for children until recently. If you've ever thought about a way to get your little darlings off their screens, EverWonder is that way. Their Mission Statement says it all:

EverWonder cultivates a lifelong love of learning in children by encouraging them to think, inquire, and wonder about the world around them.

At EverWonder, there are hands-on exhibits and programming that spark the kid's imaginations. There are different rooms for different ages like the Young Explorers Room, which was our granddaughter Winter's favorite. For the names of all the different exhibits and rooms, click this link.

Everything at the EverWonder Children's Museum is hands-on. The kids are allowed to pet the Bearded Dragons,  Einstein and Mrs. Newtown, play at the Lego table, take part in a Dinosaur dig, and loads of other activities to stimulate and entertain kids of all ages. You can even have your child's birthday party at EverWonder!
