According to Accuweather Meteorologist Bernie Rayno, it's time to buckle up for some harsh winter weather because we've got a Nor'easter on the way. The first sign of the storm, which began in California this past Tuesday, is the frigid temperatures across the midwest and northeast.

At Accuweather.com, Rayno has predicted on his Weather Insider Podcast that if the storm hits, it will drop 3 to 6 inches of snow from Virginia to New York City and snowfall will increase from 6 to 10 inches as it moves north through New England.

The weather website, wunderground.com, was more specific with its storm prediction for the Danbury area, saying that they're "watching a potential winter storm" on Monday, February 1, with steady accumulating snow of 1 to 3 inches expected during the day and 1 to 3 inches more in the evening.

Here's the bottom line, according to the website, scijinks.org, professional meteorologists can predict an accurate seven-day weather forecast 80% of the time and a five-day forecast 90% of the time. With four different weather websites helping me out, my weather forecast for this upcoming storm is:

We'll see sunny skies on Saturday with highs near 25 degrees and an overnight low of 7 degrees. Sunday will be overcast with a high of 27 and an overnight low of 19 degrees. On Monday, it will be cloudy with the potential of a Nor'easter with snow showers to start and snow accumulating later in the day from 1 to 3 inches and a high of 30 degrees. Expect another 1 to 3 inches of snow on Monday night.
