If you normally travel on Super 7 in the morning, you knew something was wrong today when police closed down the Southbound lanes near exit 11.

I travel that way every morning and noticed the red and blue police lights illuminating the darkness from almost a mile away. As I passed in the Northbound lanes across from the crash, I saw extra lighting trucks and police cruisers down the embankment and into the woods. I also saw police blocking the entrance ramp on Federal Road, and more police further down the Super 7 extender. You knew something wasn't good.

Well, according to newstimes.com, it was a rollover crash that killed the lone occupant in the vehicle who has now been identified as 23-year-old Reed Latrowski of Rockville Centre, NY. The accident happened a little before 4 AM, and caused the road closure during most of the morning commute when Latrowski lost control of a 2015 BMW X5, and rolled into two trees before stopping. It's been reported that the listed owner of the car is a Michael Besen of New York.

Police are still investigating the accident and ask that anyone with information about the crash contact Trooper Alexander Milne in Southbury at 203-267-2200.
