My daughter's class was recently given a tour of the Stony Hill Fire Department. All the firefighters were great with the kids! They gave them a tour of the building and showed them some of the trucks. The kids even got to sit in the trucks, which they thought was very cool.

Parents were allowed to join the kids for the tour, so I joined them at the fire department. I noticed a sign while we were there about their Pancake Breakfast and thought I would share the info.

The breakfast will happen on October 25 from 9 a.m. - noon at the Stony Hill Fire Department (59 Stony Hill Rd. in Bethel). In addition to the breakfast they will have games, raffles, and they encourage everyone who attends the breakfast to dress in their Halloween costume.

All proceeds benefit the Stony Hill Fire Department. For more info you can visit stonyhillfourcorners.com.

Thank you to all the firefighters who took the time out of their day to educate the kids on fire safety. They had so much fun! Thank you, as well, for everything you do for the community to keep it safe. It is appreciated!
