Police say a man they pulled over in the Hudson Valley because of a loud exhaust was ultimately charged with a felony DWI.

State Troopers from Brewster policing Route 52 pulled over a car driven by 29-year-old Ryan D. Williams, of Carmel for having a loud and inadequate exhaust, officials say.

Williams was allegedly found to be intoxicated at the time of the traffic stop. He was charged a felony driving while intoxicated due to a previous DWI related conviction within the preceding 10 years.

Williams provided a breath sample that allegedly revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .10%. He was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Justice Court and was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail, He is scheduled to return to the Town of Carmel Court on July 26.
