Police say a Connecticut man is critical condition after being shocked while on the job doing tree work in Wilton.

According to CT Post, the 25-year-old tree worker from Stamford received the electric jolt on Wednesday (June 5) evening when he attempted to open the door of an M. Lato Tree Company truck that had apparently been in contact with power lines.

When the responding officers arrived at the residential 55 Ruscoe Road address, the man was reportedly unresponsive. After receiving initial medical treatment from the first responders on the scene, the unidentified man was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where the latest report is that he remains in critical condition and that the injuries are possibly life threatening.

This incident is currently being investigated by both the Wilton Police Department and OSHA.
