Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Heads to Danbury Next to Texas Roadhouse

Are you ready for some succulent fried chicken, butterfly shrimp, and some fluffy Southern biscuits?

Ground has been officially broken for the construction of Danbury's first Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen which will begin to take shape on the same site as the new Texas Roadhouse off Exit 8 of I-84 on Danbury Newtown Road where a new restaurant row continues to progress. Here are the restaurants already established on Danbury Newtown Road.

According to the Danbury Daily Voice, Popeyes will be serving up their signature fried chicken at the end of the summer or early fall. After completing some research on which chicken is better, KFC vs Popeyes, the results according to Business Insider show that it's a matter of preference depending on the individual. Many people who tasted both brands in the survey, love the tasty breading on KFC's chicken but others think that Popeyes breading is crispier and crunchier.

The bottom line is a steady diet of fried 'anything' is not good for your body. Once a year Mindy and I will dive into a bucket of extra crispy Kentucky Fried Chicken and it's glorious! Truth is, when my mother was alive, she made the best fried chicken on the planet!
