This week, we're featuring two of five puppies that have been rescued from a southern high kill shelter and are now at the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford.

Their names are Bunny and Duckie -- they are both a Labrador mix, and are only nine weeks old.

Now that they have a new lease on life, they are looking for their first forever home.

These are two of five very cute and lovable little pups who, along with their mom, are available for adoption.

They have had all their shots and within the next week, they will be spayed and neutered. and then they will get the green light to find their first forever home.

They’re open Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Keep in mind the Animal Welfare Society is undergoing construction to serve you and the animals better, so just them call before you go.
