Following an undercover operation, a Putnam County woman is accused of possessing a number of drugs.

On Dec. 14, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, were sent to a reported dispute at a home on Fowler Avenue in the Hamlet of Carmel. Upon arrival, responding deputies realized that the female occupant had fled the area on foot.

Police recognized the woman’s name and description and believe she allegedly sold undercover officers prescription medication on several times.

Members of the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit responded to the area and found 38-year-old Lisa M. Bianco a short distance from the home.

While taking Bianco into custody, deputies determined that she was in unlawful possession of prescription medication and a small quantity of marijuana, police say.

Bianco was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and a violation for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Bianco was arraigned in Town of Kent Court and committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail pending a future appearance in the Town of Carmel Justice Court.

If found guilty of the felony charge, Bianco could face up to seven years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $5,000.
