The Ridgefield Police, working with other local police forces and the FBI have arrested a man who's linked to a number of area robberies, including the Subway Sandwich Shop on Ethan Allen Highway in Ridgefield.

According to patch.com, 55-year-old Alvin Robertson has been taken into custody and charged after police say he robbed a Subway restaurant in Ridgefield at knife point. Also, according to a police report, he's facing federal charges from the FBI for allegedly committing armed robbery at three different bank robberies in Connecticut. Finally, Robertson is also believed to be linked to an armed robbery at another Subway in Monroe.

The Ridgefield Police say they were able to solve this case and arrest Robertson with the help of the FBI as well as the Monroe and Watertown Police Departments.
