Here are some, "SOUPS FOR YOU!"

Made from scratch, homemade soups are one of the most amazing gastronomical delights in the world especially on a cold winter New England afternoon.

Because of my love affair with these savory bowls of goodness, I've come up with five of the best soup spots in Connecticut along with two take-out soup locations.

    Soup Thyme - Monroe

Soup Thyme just received a wonderful write-up by the website, 'Only In Your State' featuring photos and descriptions of their enticing homemade soups.

On any given day there will be between 10 and 18 different soups to choose from such as chicken pot pie to roasted butternut squash, vegetable beef barley to roasted cauliflower.

Soup Thyme also serves up sandwiches and paninis. On average they cook up 25 gallons of soup a day.

    Rosy Tomorrows - Danbury

Rosy Tomorrows, for those who have never been, is a funky restaurant with a unique menu located off exit 2 of I-84.

Their soups are all made from scratch daily like their new Lobster Bisque a la Rosy, their signature velvety smooth Fisherman's Chowder made with shrimp, clams, and surimi crab, and their Chicken Pot Pie Soup made with fresh veggies.

Warning: Rosy's soups are practically a meal all by themselves.
