About five months after her terminal cancer diagnosis, Joey Feek died on March 4. "The cancer is gone, the pain has ceased, and all her tears are dry," her husband, Rory Feek, wrote when sharing the news of his wife's passing with fans -- and now he, too, must move forward.

The Feeks and their daughter Indiana had been living in Joey Feek's hometown of Alexandria, Ind., since shortly after she ceased treatments in October. There, they were surrounded by Feek's parents and sisters, as well as many others who had watched her grow up and knew and loved her; they also were visited by a bevy of friends and loved ones.

But Joey + Rory's home, their farmhouse, is in Tennessee. And it's now time for Rory Feek, Indy and daughters Heidi and Hopie to return there.

"It’s hard for me to imagine being there without Joey, but at the same time … it is where she wants us to be," Rory Feek writes. "It’s where she will be … She’s gonna be in the mint growing beside our back deck, the sweet-corn frozen in our freezer and a million other places that her hand and heart has touched around our little farmhouse and community.

"Joey will still be with us. Everywhere," he adds. "So if it’s okay, I’m gonna close, wipe my tears and pack our bags to hit the road headed south. She’s already got a head-start on me."
