Run From The Sun 5K Is Thursday In Danbury

Runners from all over Greater Danbury and Dutchess and Putnam Counties will be ready to run for Ann's Place during the Run from the Sun 5K at the Amber Room on Thursday evening.

The annual event is a benefit for Ann's Place, which provides cancer patients with support and services free of charge. Participants of all ages will be there to help out a great cause and to compete for trophies in nine age categories, both male and female, and of course, bragging rights.

Here's some Race Details:

• Race Course Certified 5K course runs from the Amber Room to Candlewood Lake and back.
• One of Connecticut’s Best Post Race Parties After the race unwind and enjoy a post race outdoor barbeque, ice cold beverages, live music and an awards ceremony!
• Technical running shirts to the first 300 entrants. Cotton shirts to all other preregistered runners.
• Awards Given to top 3 finishers both male and female, plus awards in many age group categories.

The race starts at 6:30 pm with packet pick up and race day registration starting at 4:30 pm. Look for the Kicks 105.5 Road Crew at the race with tons of officially licensed Kicks merchandise.
