Six More Sandy Hook Families Sue Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones
For the second time this year, truther Alex Jones is being sued for defamation by six more Sandy Hook families.
From an article on cnn.com., the host of the radio show, Info Wars is being sued for defamation by six Sandy Hook families and an FBI agent who investigated the 2012 killings. A statement by the FBI and six families stated:
Jones and other defendents have developed, amplified, and perpetuated claims that the Sandy Hook massacre was staged and that the 26 families that lost loved ones that day are paid actors who faked their relative's deaths.
Jones was also sued for defamation by two Sandy Hook families in April of this year. The following is a video of Alex Jones telling his side of the story.
That FBI statement went on to say that by his actions Jones was the reason that families and survivors of the Sandy Hook shootings were subjected to death threats and personal confrontations by Alex Jones's supporters. Another section of the suit proclaims:
The Jones defendants concoct eleborate and false paranoia-tinged conspiracy theories becuase it moves product and they make money.
Jones says he now believes the shootings were not a hoax and this second lawsuit is an attack on him and the First Amendment.
