Smoking to Blame for Devastating Condo Fire in Connecticut
When will people learn? I know, rhetorical question.
I live in a condo. We've been there for years and while there has never been a fire in our immediate section, there have been incidents in the complex overall. It often makes you think about how other people's actions can affect your home. Such is the case for many people after Monday's fire in Norwalk, Connecticut.
According to thehour.com, investigators have come to a conclusion in what they believe caused the recent massive condominium fire in Norwalk. The fire, which displaced residents from 54 units, appears to have started on a third floor deck of a unit at the StoneWood Condominiums. Thankfully, nobody was injured in the fire, but some owners have pets that are missing.
The cause? Investigators believe careless, accidental disposal of smoking materials started the blaze.
At this point, all 54 of the units are inhabitable.
