I use the term gardening very, very lightly. Think more along the lines of putting dirt into pots and buying seeds from Lowes and/or Home Depot and dumping them in there. It's been absolutely gorgeous and I wanted to be pro active with my day and not be stuck inside. It seemed like a relaxing, non stressful way to unwind.

It's not that I was wrong, but good lord I broke a sweat. I had it in mind to grow something small like maybe a cute flower or some mint, but I got to Home Depot and was overwhelmed by the amount of options I had. I'm a big fan of spicy foods so Jalapenos immediately caught my eye. I saw some tomatoes and thought "why not." While we're at it let's throw some cilantro in there. I guess my subconscious really wants me to make some kind of salsa.

Above is a picture of what I'm working with. I have no idea what I'm doing and need some advice as a beginner. Is it too early to be planting these veggies? Are flowers the easier way to go? Drop me a line on Facebook before these vegetables sprout!
