Spring Begins All Around the World at This Exact Time

Here we are counting down the hours until Spring begins.

Tick, tock, tick, tock...BAM!

Here comes another Nor'easter almost in time for Easter.

According to time.com, there are two ways to figure out the first day of Spring, because it is not the same day every year. They first gave a real college word paragraph involving phrases like "meteorologic cycle," "vernal equinox," and "astronomical cycle," my eyes started to glaze over. Then, I saw this:

The first day of spring is the only time of year when the sun rises in the east and sets in the west for everyone across the world. It’s also the only moment each year that the Earth’s tilt is zero in relation to our sun. So, if you were standing on the equator, the sun would pass directly over your head.

OK, gotcha! Spring starts tomorrow, March 20, 2018 at 12:15pm. Just don't put your shovel and snow blower away just yet. As the great Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over til it's over."
