New Fairfield's TJ Lobraico was a part of the family business, the United States Air Force. This American Hero was welcomed home for the last time in September of 2013.

TJ's grandfather was a two star Air Force general, his mom is a Lt. Colonel, and his father is a Master Sergeant. TJ served with The Reapers, an elite USAF security unit. While stationed in Afghanistan near the Bagram Airfield, TJ was out on night patrol on September 5 of 2013, when he interrupted an enemy IED team which prevented an ambush that would have wiped out his entire team. Tragically, TJ was killed by small arms fire in the ensuing firefight.

On September 11, 2013, over 1,000 came to honor and witness the return of a young staff sergeant who lived and died doing what he loved. On Sunday, May 29 at 7 PM, there will be a special Memorial Day theatrical screening of Family Mission: The TJ Lobraico Story at the Palace Theatre, 165 Main Street in Danbury.  At the conclusion of the screening, director Scott Mactavish will hold a Q&A for audience members.
