I love walking in our lobby these days. It is seriously restoring my faith in humanity. I'm talking, of course, about our KICKS Christmas Wish.

People have been calling to get the name of a child who is in need in our area. When they call they also are given two different toy requests from the child. We're only asking for you to pick up one of the toys, but a lot of people are getting both toys and some people are taking multiple children! You guys are awesome!

This is what the season is all about. Helping others and just being nice to each other. Our lobby is quickly filling with gifts for lots of children. We even have some bikes!

It's simply amazing to me. I've talked to multiple people who have come in to get names or drop off gifts, and they have all been so excited to help. One gentleman said that his company used to do this, but he is in between jobs right now and wanted to continue the giving he used to do at his job on his own. So giving and caring.

Another woman dropped off some gifts today (12/11) and loved buying gifts for the little girls whose name she was given. She said she has all boys, so it was fun for her to pick out Barbie dolls.

I would say I'm speechless, but given all the words I have typed we know that's not true. We are all truly grateful for all the giving spirits that have donated to the KICKS Christmas Wish. We could not do this without you!

If you would like to help a child this Christmas season, just call the office during regular business hours (203-775-1212) and you will be given the name of a child and their toy requests. Then drop off the gift to our office by December 17 and we will make sure it gets to the child in time for Christmas.

Thank you (again) to everyone for helping out with our KICKS Christmas Wish!
