  • Connecticut's U.S. senators are praising Facebook's decision to ban private gun sales on their social network. Under the company's decision, licensed gun dealers can continue to promote their businesses on the site, but cannot take orders or make sales.


  • The World Health Organization is meeting today in Switzerland to try and find ways to stop the spread of the Zika virus. The WHO might declare the mosquito-borne virus a global emergency.Declaring it a global emergency would lead to resources and financial aid to fight the disease. paho/


  • Tourist Helicopter flights over New York City will by cut back by 50-percent on weekdays and eliminate them entirely on Sundays. The Sunday ban will take effect this April.
