March is Women's History Month, but, today is International Women's Day, how far have we actually come?

I've been sharing some thoughts recently about Women's History Month, and I'm proud to say, along the journey, we have made some incredible strides. One of the biggest being the fact that a woman has a real chance to be the President of the United States.

That said, we still have miles to go. The World Economic Forum predicted in 2014 that it would take until 2095 to achieve global gender parity (closing the gap in equality between the sexes). Now, forecasters predict the gender gap won't be closed until 2133. At the heart of it all, it's astonishing that girls globally still lag behind boys in getting an education.

For 2016 the International Women's Day, theme is #PledgeForParity. Women and men are both being urged to take a pledge to help achieve gender parity faster than 117 years from now! Education is truly the key, all the way around, to living a better life.
