Toys ‘R Us Stores May Be Coming Back for Real, Geoffrey Too

In the past, we reported to you about attempts to salvage the Toys 'R Us stores in our area and beyond, and unfortunately, those attemps were not successful.

Well, the newest news out today about Toys 'R Us is really good. It's that the bankruptcy auction that was originally planned to liquidate everything that was left behind after stores were closed, is now cancelled.

That auction was to supposed to help the retailer's creditors cover the debt that was owed to them. What does this all mean to us Toys 'R Us fans? The cancellation means that the brand name and intellectual property will not be sold, and it's been announced that they will be used to resurrect the brand, according to Newser citing Reuters as a source.

Does this mean that the Danbury, Toys 'R Us location will open again? Only time will reveal the answer to that question, but in the meantime, it's good to get this news today.
