Late Monday afternoon (November 4), Danbury Firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from the roof of the Tropical Deli on Lake Avenue in Danbury.

When crews arrived on the scene shortly after 4:00 PM Monday, they confirmed the report of smoke coming from the structure and quickly upgraded the incident to a working fire.

According to a report on the Danbury Fire Department's Facebook page, the crews located the fire after opening up a section of the wall and roof eves.

While fighting the fire, DFD officials requested the City of Danbury Department of Health and Human Services to the scene for further evaluation of the conditions. The Fire Marshals division was also there investigating the cause, which is still undetermined.

Fortunately, no one was injured at this incident.
