War veterans can have a very hard time re-adjusting to life after serving. PTSD effects some 3 million veterans, now there finding help thru the healing power of country music.

Thanks to a group called The Soldier Project, many veterans effected with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and (TBI) traumatic brain injury now have hope thanks to the positive healing power of country music and country dancing.

According to dancingwell.org, during a pilot program with soldiers at Fort Knox, members of the Soldier Project worked closely with staff psychiatrists to develop and implement a country dance series specifically attuned to the needs of soldiers with PTSD and/or brain injury, and the results were incredible, changing the lives of the vets who participated.
