    Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center

    On Tuesday, March 17 the GDICC pulls out all the stops featuring Irish dancing, music, corned beef, and celebratory libations.

    On Sunday, March 22, Danbury's St. Patrick's Day parade begins at 2 pm and finishes at the GDICC followed by lots of good food, fun, and Irish music.

    Molly Darcy's - Danbury

    The legendary Molly Darcy's lives at 39 Mill Plain Rd. in Danbury where I-95 has hosted many a St. Patrick's Day party at this outstanding restaurant which was jam-packed and rockin.'

    On Tuesday, March 17, Molly's opens its doors from 9 am until 11:50 pm for a St. Patrick's Day shebang of monumental proportions! The Eamon O'Neill Band takes the stage for some jumpin' Irish music. Also on the menu will be Irish dancing, face painting, green beer, giveaways, and some of the best-corned beef and cabbage you've ever tasted.     The Castle On Post - Fairfield

    The Castle On Post can be found at 222 Post Rd. in Fairfield and is described by one of their patrons who's originally from County Derry in Ireland, "So hard to find TRUE Irish food in Connecticut, but this is the place!" 

    Perusing their menu I found a couple of my favs, Mussel Stew and Corned Beef Springrolls under their Little Bites section. Under their entrees, I noticed their authentic Irish Bangers and Mash and their incredible Shepard's Pie. For The Castle On Post entire menu, click on thecastleonpost.com.
