During trick or treating you may notice teal colored pumpkins at certain homes. These pumpkins are a great new way of helping families that normally have a tough time at Halloween. Teal pumkins are trending now because they are a symbol for the Teal Pumpkin Project. Their mission: "Raising awareness of food allergies and promoting inclusion of all trick or treaters throughout the Halloween season".

You can participate in their drive to provide kids with food allergies, non food treat options, or allergy free options, which are detailed on the FoodAllergy.org website. On their site they have all kinds of ideas and suggestions as to what you can provide allergic trick or treaters. You can also list your home on their interactive map showing households that are participating. This will let the community know you’re looking out for kids with allergies.
