A 32-year-old Redding woman trying to avoid a rear-end collision while she was driving ended up going airborne.

It must be one of the scariest moments in your life when you find your car sailing through the air with you still in it. That's what happened to the 32-year-old when police say she lost control and ended up crashing into two vehicles. The drivier also reportedly had a baby in a back car seat. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the accident.

According to an article in the Danbury Daily Voice, police say the Redding woman was traveling on Danbury Road when the car in front of her stopped abruptly. To avoid slamming into the car, she pulled a sharp left turn and raced across Danbury Rd. where she hit a dumpster, a boulder, and then a dirt pile which sent her car into the air. She then reportedly smashed into two parked cars at Precision Performance at 681 Danbury Road. Just watching this scene from the The Blues Brothers movie makes me queasy.

To add insult to injury she was charged for failing to keep right, following too closely, and failing to wear a seatbelt. She was driven to a local hospital with minor injuries.
